RUTTER, Robert Grady Robert Grady Rutter, Jr., of Moore, passed away Sunday August 5, 2018 in Devine, at the age of 94. Robert was born on December 4, 1923 in Dripping Springs, Texas to Robert and Ella (Marx) Rutter. He is preceded in death by his wife Una Gene McIntyre Rutter; his parents; five siblings; his son, Damon; and granddaughter, Jennifer. Robert is survived by his son, Roger B. Rutter, Sr.; stepson, Don Martin; brother, Glenn Rutter; ten grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and close family friend of twenty-seven years, and caregiver, Cindy White. A veteran of the United States Army during World War II, Robert served overseas in India, Burma, and China with the 396th Air Service Squadron as an airplane hydraulic mechanic. Upon retiring from his machine shop in Austin, Texas, Robert and Una moved to their ranch in Moore, Texas in 1980. A righteous man, Robert will be missed by all that knew him and were touched by his kindness. Visitation will be held Tuesday August 7, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Hurley Funeral Home Chapel in Devine, Texas. Funeral service will be Wednesday August 8, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hurley Funeral Home Chapel in Devine, Texas, with interment to follow in Moore Memorial Cemetery in Moore, Texas. In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorial may be made to Moore Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 78 Moore, Texas 78057, Moore Baptist Church P.O.
