Rose Kerner Obituary

Rose Marie Kerner March 19, 2008 - Jan. 5, 2009 Our beloved Rose Marie has gone into the arms of Jesus. Her sweet life was too short for us here on earth but God has moved many hearts through her passing to bring us all closer to Him. Although we fervently prayed that God's will was for her to remain on earth, we grieve in the knowledge that she fulfilled her earthy vocation through her pure goodness and love and that she is now in heaven with all the angels and saints, our Blessed Mother and our most Beloved Lord and Savior. Little Rose is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, and survived by her most loving and doting family, her Dad'n, Kevin, her Mama Leslie, her siblings Luke, Therese, Josephine and Bernadette, her maternal grandparents, her paternal grandmother and many aunts and uncles and cousins. Thank you to the emergency personnel who came to Rose's aid. A special thanks to everyone in the PICU at Medical City who took care of Rose in every way. Words cannot express the gratitude we feel for the aid and love to our blessed Rose and all our family. Thank you Lord for sending Fr. Jonathan Austin from St. Rita our way... Rose was born on Mar. 19, the Feast of St. Joseph, Patron saint of families, baptized on Dec. 6, Feast of St. Nicholas, Patron saint of children and died on Jan. 5, the Feast of St. John Neumann, Patron saint of Catholic education. Funeral Mass is Fri., Jan. 9 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Ann in Coppell. Visitation will be one hour prior to the mass. Reception to follow at St. Ann. Burial will be on Sat., Jan. 10 at 1:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Rosary Cemetery in Georgetown. Reception to follow at St. Helen in Georgetown. The Lord gives. The Lord takes. Blessed be the name of the Lord. Leslie,
I know we did not get a chance to get to know one another well enough as neighbors, and I only found out about Rose's passing early this week. I am heartbroken for you. I will remember your family in my prayers as you try to move forward.

Dear Leslie,

Our family, and several of my friends across the US, are keeping you and your family in all our prayers and thoughts. This is such a difficult time for all of you, but maybe there is a little comfort in knowing how many hearts Rose touched during her stay in the hospital, when I sent out a prayer request. I have received so many notes saying what a special angel God now has at His side with Rose Marie Kerner! May God continue to keep you, Kevin, Luke, Therese, Josephine and Bernadette in His watchful eye.

Take care,
John and Judi (Corn) Mahorner
