Susie Marie Holcomb Susie Marie Holcomb, 88, of Austin died Sunday, November 4, 2012. The family will receive friends 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 7, 2012 with service beginning at 2:00, p.m., at Harrell Funeral Home, Austin, TX, with Pastor Lane Northcut of Woodlawn Baptist Church officiating. Graveside service will follow at Live Oak Cemetery. Sue was born December 23, 1923 in Lakeview, Texas. Sue lived there until she and husband Doug moved to Amarillo in 1945. In 2001 they moved to Austin to be closer to their daughter and grandchildren. She was a faithful member of Trinity Baptist Church in Amarillo. After moving to Austin, she joined Woodlawn Baptist Church. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren more than words can tell. Her home was filled with love and a willingness to help any of us. We will greatly miss her. She is proceeded in death by her parents Jeff and Ola Rice; husband of sixty two years, Doug Holcomb; brothers Lloyd Rice, J.M. "Shorty" Rice; sisters Gertrude West, Erma Lee Denton and Katrina Nash. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law Delonn and George Bowie of Austin, granddaughter Kendra Bowie of Fort Worth, grandson and wife Kevin and Kristi Bowie of Austin; great grandchildren Paxton Hicks, Payton Hicks, Jessie Bowie and Lucy Bowie.
