Wayne offered me and my other colleagues in the Austin Symphony Orchestra much valued friendship and musical mentoring. He will be greatly missed. My prayers for comfort are offered to his family and to all his former students.

I studied horn with Mr. Barrington from 1988 until 1992. He was an incredibly dedicated teacher who taught me more than I realized at the time. One of my most prized possessions is a photo he autographed for me when I graduated. I'm praying for the family at this time of loss.

I had the honor of playing in a brass quintet with Professor Barrington during my time at UT in the late 60's. He was a truly great musician and he will be missed. My condolences to the family.
