Christopher Shane Reece, age 27, a longtime Colville, Washington, resident, passed away unexpectedly in the early hours of Oct. 16, 2021.
Chris was born on March 31, 1994, in Fresno, California.
Chris spent the first part of his childhood, until the end of sixth grade, growing up in Madera, California, with his parents, James and DeeDee Reece Jr., as well as his siblings, James Reece III and Billy.
At the end of elementary school, Chris and his parents relocated to Northeast Washington, settling down outside of Colville.
As Chris approached the end of his high school career, he began to find his passions in storytelling, particularly writing, along with playing video games and Dungeons and Dragons, and watching anime.
After graduating from high school, Chris began working at refining his craft, creating entirely new worlds in his pages.
Chris also loved history, whether it be learning world history from textbooks, or hearing personal stories from older generations.
His friendly and inviting personality made everyone want to share their stories with him, and he spent many childhood days sitting with his grandmother listening to stories from her earlier years while the other kids went out and played.
While taking a break from working at Wal-Mart, Chris found the Lord through two great men, Jake and Chuck, and his life was forever changed for the better.
Once he found God, Chris was never afraid to speak out about all the Lord had blessed him with. He became very closely involved with the youth group at the Lifeline Church of God, and he loved his time with the kids just as much as they loved their time with him.
Chris used his warm nature, welcoming spirit, and amazing sense of humor to bring many people to the Lord, and his infectious smile brought joy to all that were blessed to know him.
Chris is survived by his loving parents, James and DeeDee Reece Jr.; his brothers, James Reece III and Billy (Jessica) Reece; his nephews, Nathan and Austin Reece; his grandmothers, Elma Reece and Linda Cole; and his grandfather, James (Connie) Reece; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins, and countless friends and family all throughout the nation, including his church family at the Lifeline Church of God, in addition to his beloved dog, Toby.
My son was loved by many and loved many, just as the Lord calls us to be.
