Evelyn Lucille (Palm) Hoover, age 86, passed away Sept. 8, 2021, in the loving care of Hospice House with her family by her side.
Evelyn was born to Louella and Edward Palm on March 29, 1935.
She met the love of her life, Daniel Hoover in 1955, and they married Aug. 27, 1955.
Evelyn professed her love for God and his Son when she was in her teens. She loved the truth all her years.
She found great comfort in Psalm 23.
Mom loved painting beautiful pictures, gardening, especially zinnias, tomatoes, and winter squash (the bigger the better).
She loved to cook meals for everyone, and she was a skilled cake decorator.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents and a baby sister.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Daniel; four children, Cindy (John) Hermance, Josie Turner, Duane (Bonnie) Hoover, and Esther (Aaron) Schluter; her sisters, Linda Simmons and Chris (Lloyd) Town; eight grandchildren, Jeremiah, Clinton, Justin, Jennifer, Jon, Jeremiah, Becca, and Candace; eight great-grandchildren; two nephews; and three nieces.
A memorial service honoring Evelyn's life will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2021, at Danekas Funeral Chapel in Colville.
