Longtime resident, Shirley Patburg of Chewelah, Washington, passed away on Sept. 19, 2021, at the age of 84.
Shirley was born Oct. 21, 1936, to Clisby and Edithe Robinson in Roosevelt, Utah.
Shirley met her wonderful husband, Wesley Patburg, in Colville, Washington, and then married at the age of 21 on Nov. 15, 1957. Shirley and Wes were married just shy of 64 years.
Shirley was a proud and devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She loved to quilt and spend time with her family with a special place in her heart for children.
Shirley and Wes loved to travel and were able to take many adventures; often taking the grandkids with them.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Wesley Patburg; her four children, Pamela (Jack) Nett, Helen (Alvin) Clark, Tony (Cyndi) Patburg, Barbara Jean; her eight grandchildren, Alicia (James) Adams, Zachary Peasley, Nikki (Eric) Bye, Rachael (Sky) Griepp, Mikel Patburg, Grant (Leah) Clark, Charlee (Anthony) Tiechmer, Bethany Sly; and numerous great-grandchildren who have tremendous love for their Great-Grandmother.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Clisby and Edithe Robinson; her siblings, Blake, Monte, Frankie, Donna; and her son, Donald.
Her legacy and stories will live on through the hearts and minds of her loved ones and the community.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Oct. 1 at 2 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Chewelah. Donations can be made in her memory to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital
or Shriners Hospital.
