Alice Seaman Obituary
July 17, 1931 - October 3, 2016
Salem - Alice Marie Seaman was born was born July 17, 1931, in Streator Illinois. She was the only child of William and Mary Moerchen. She is proceeded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Donald. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Michael and Kerri Seaman, daughters and sons-in-law Jan and Phillip Strom, and Jill and Bruce Pollard. She leaves fourteen Grandchildren and twenty one great-grandchildren with two more on the way.
She met her husband, Donald Leon Seaman, also of Streator, Illinois, and they were married on May 14, 1955. During this time she attended the University of Illinois receiving a Forensic Science Degree. She was employed at the Streator Hospital working as a lab technician.
Alice and Donald moved to Salem Oregon in November of 1971, after purchasing the two McDonald's restaurants in Salem. She and her husband Donald were active in McDonalds for 37 years, growing the business to thirteen locations, which are now owned and operated by Michael and Jill.
Some of Alice's favorite activities were traveling with her family, spending time at her homes in Lincoln City, and San Marcos California she also enjoyed reading, playing cards especially bridge and pinochle, spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Celebration of Alice's life will be October 13, at 11:00 am at Queen of Peace Catholic Church (4227 Lone Oak Rd SE, Salem, OR 97302).
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations sent in memory of Alice Seaman to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Portland and SW Washington, 2620 N Commercial St., Portland, OR 97227.

Our sincere condolences on the loss of your mother, grandmother, friend. She didn't forget the many faces she saw either at Hidden Lakes or at the church when we saw her. Don must have met her at the gates of heaven with open arms and a welcoming hand to guide her through to her new home.
Rest assured you will not forget her but find some thing in this earthly life to remember she is with you such as a butterfly, a rainbow, a favorite flower.
