Dearest Mother - I miss you so! You were my hero, my strength, my wisdom, and you showed me the beauty in life. All of us who loved you know you are in heaven with the Lord, but the ache in our hearts of missing you will remain for a long while. There have been so many times when I would see something or hear something, and I would think, I must call mom to tell her about that. I miss your laugh and I miss your love! I love to imagine you in a corner of heaven, decorating to your heart's content. :) Oh, what a glorious time we will have. . .

You were a lovely mother and artist whose humor, style, and wisdom are greatly missed. But really, words are not expressive enough to describe the hole in our lives that has developed since your passing. Again, greatly missed, mourned, and loved.

Dear, sweet Barbara - my mother-in-law - asked me to call her "Mom" years ago when she first came to visit our home in Memphis. She was an adventurous, intelligent, stylish, classy, fun-loving lady. I will never forget her sense of humor, her ability to adapt to changing circumstances and settings, her deep love and devotion to her children, and her unconditional acceptance of me into her family. It is hard to believe that she left us behind so suddenly, almost without warning. I believe Barbara is one of our Guardian Angels now, dancing unencumbered at the Lord's side in Heaven.

"I am very sad because Barbara has gone. She was always loving with me. She was a brave woman, kind and strong, but above all a good mother and best friend and I will remember her well. She is in the heaven, but she will always be in my heart. Dios es grande."

I am deeply saddened to see that Barbara has gone. She was a very good customer of mine when I ran a little vintage store. We had many relaxed conversations about antiques, family, and various happenings. It has been several months since I have seen her and I didn't realize that she was ill. I am so sorry. I will miss her. Please take care, as I know that she adored you all.
