Barbarita Ruiz Obituary
Hubbard - Barbarita Fraga Ruiz, 82, of Hubbard, died January 3, 2018 with the comfort of her family surrounding her.
She was born on February 24, 1935 in Asherton, Texas, to Lucio and Isabel (Padron) Fraga.
She married Juan Rios Ruiz on March 25, 1957.
In 1966 they made Oregon their home, living in Hubbard since 1970. Together they raised seven children.
Barbarita was a devoted wife and loving mother. During her early years she worked as a farm laborer and later retired to spend quality time with her husband. She always enjoyed being surrounded by her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children: Sylvia Melcher, Juan Jr., Martin, Velma Blades, Rita Narry; sister, Maria Ysais. 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Juan, and two of her children, Leo and Selma
Viewing Fri. Jan. 5, 2018 from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM-Rosary 2:00 PM at Simon-Cornwell Colonial Chapel- Woodburn.
Funeral Mass Mon. Jan 8, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St. Luke Catholic Church.
Graveside to follow at St. Paul Catholic Cemetery.
