Eric John Dahlberg, Jr.

Salem - Eric John Dahlberg Jr. was born in Portland, Oregon to Evelyn and Eric Dahlberg on October 13, 1934. He graduated from Grant High School in 1952. He attended Willamette University for one year before transferring to Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington where he graduated with a degree in Education in 1957. John taught in the Beaverton, Oregon School District for several years before earning his Masters Degree from Lewis & Clark College. In 1968 John earned his Ed.D degree from the University of Oregon. He was employed by the Northwest Education Lab on the Island of Guam from 1968-1969. Upon returning to the states, John was a Professor in the Education Department at Boise State University. He loved and cherished his years at Boise State until his retirement. John and his 2nd wife Lori moved to Turner, Oregon and settled on the Edwards' Family Farm. John was a beloved member of the Turner Fire District. He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Salem, Oregon.

John was preceded in death by his wife Lori. He is survived by his first wife Carol Edlund of Wanut Creek, Ca, and their two daughters Nancy Dahlberg (Joel Beacham) of Berkley, Michigan, Jane Dahlberg (Paul Farmer) of West Ada County, Idaho, their son Andy of Idaho; his grandchildren Rebekka Fulton (Andrew) of Marysville, Ohio, Taylor Beacham (Brendlyn) of Berkley, Michigan, Nathan Farmer of Boise, Idaho, Lauren Farmer, Citizen of the World and great granddaughter Lillian Ahnquist Fulton.

His daughters, Nancy and Jane want to express their heart felt gratitude and love to the Turner Fire District and his local friends for their care and support of their father. A private graveside burial was held, Wednesday December 6th. A public celebration of his life will be announced at a further date.
