John Marson Obituary
February 23, 1940 - April 24, 2015
John C Marson died in Salem of complications from surgery. He was born in Molalla where he grew up. He lettered in four sports at Molalla Union High School, graduating in 1958. On April 30, 1960 he and Anita Lawrence were married and together had two daughters, Kristi and Debbi. The family moved to Salem in 1976 where they operated two grocery stores, one in Salem and one in Aumsville.
John was preceded in death by his parents, John L and Margaret Marson and his former wife, Anita Marson.
Survivors include his two daughters; Kristi (Doug) Austin of Olympia, WA and Debra (Richard) Montgomery of Salem; sister and brother in law Darlene and Charles Maben of Madras, OR and several nieces and nephews.
Private graveside service under the direction of City View Funeral Home will be held Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Adams Cemetery in Molalla.
Memorials in his name may be made to the Humane Society of the Willamette Valley.
