Julianna Miller-Taylor Obituary

Julianna Miller-Taylor December 10, 1981 - October 31, 2008 WILSONVILLE - Julianna Miller-Taylor died October 31, 2008 at Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital in Newport, Oregon due to injuries sustained in a a traffic accident. Julianna was born of a snowy winter day in Norway on December 10, 1981. Soon afterward her family moved to Ohio where Julianna lived the first 12 years of her life. Her family moved to Minnesota, for health reasons, where Julianna spent her teenage years. Upon completion of high school, she moved to Portland and Salem where she completed her degree, started a family and began working in social service, starting with homeless shelters, group homes, nursing homes and later as a grant writer for CCS (Catholic Community Services) in Salem and OHSU (Oregon Health & Science University) in Portland. Her goal in life was to alleviate pain and suffering through what she could contribute. She completed University studies with honors, but financial success and fame were not considered an alternative to helping people in need. She was a Grant Coordinator for OHSU - Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon. She loved to help people in need and enjoyed the outdoors. Survivors include her ex-husband, Nathan Taylor of Salem; 4 year old daughter, Lucy Belle Taylor of Salem; brothers, Richard Miller of Salem and Glenn Miller of Lincoln City; parents, Stephen and Sissel Miller of Lincoln City; her significant other, Jamey Kadiya and his mother, Patti Kadaja; and grandmother, Nola E. Miller of Tucson, Ariz. Julianna's family welcomes all her friends to join them for the funeral service at 2 p.m. on Friday, November 7, 2008 at Faith Baptist Church, 5750 N. Hwy 101, Lincoln City. Interment will follow at Taft Pioneer Cemetery followed by a reception at the church. Memorial Contributions may be made to: An Educational Trust for Lucy Belle Taylor c/o Nathan Taylor, 1950 Madison Street, NE, Salem, Oregon 97303. My memories of Julianna are all positive ones. She was a lovely young woman, and will be missed by many. My condolances go out to you Steve and Sissel, Richard, Glen and families. My heart aches for Lucy.
