Lee Alvin Wagers May 23, 1923 - January 27, 2009 SALEM - Lee passed away January 27, 2009 after a wonderful two weeks cruising the Caribbean. Although he had a great time on his last adventure, he was ready to move on and join his wife, Donna who passed in January of 2008. Lee never got over the loss of his love. Lee served in the army during the Korean War. Upon his return home, he became a letter carrier for the US Postal Service, retiring in 1978. During retirement, Lee and Donna traveled the United States in their trailer. Lee was active in the Salem Elks and the 336ers RV Club. He was a rock hound who enjoyed making beautiful jewelry. Lee and Donna loved spending their summers at Taylor Park on the Little North Fork. Lee enjoyed taking pictures and spent many fun times playing with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, capturing every memory. He is survived by his sons, Dave Wagers and wife Jerrie, and Steve Wagers and wife Susie; 9 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
