Norvin Allen Isaac

Norvin Allen Isaac December 22, 1938 - April 17, 2010 KEIZER - Norvin Allen Isaac, Age 71, went home to be with the Lord on April 17, 2010 following complications of Lewey Body Dementia. Norvin was born in Ogallala Nebraska, the oldest child of Daniel and Rubina Isaac. The family lived in Nebraska and California before settling in Salem around 1953. Norvin was a graduate of Salem Academy. He worked for his father in the family floor covering business, purchasing the company with his brother a few years later. Desiring to further his education, Norvin received a degree in Civil Engineering from Chemeketa Community College in 1972. Upon graduating from college, Norvin worked for Lantz Construction as an estimator and project coordinator for 15 years. He then started his own commercial construction company, Isaac Construction Inc. in 1984, retiring in 2002. Norvin enjoyed traveling with friends and family to many countries, participating in missions projects, and volunteering at First Baptist Church where he was a member. He loved spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren. He was a member of the Rickreal Christmas Pageant Choir for 35 years. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and men's acappella quartets. Norvin's desire was to serve the Lord and leave a legacy to his family of the importance of Jesus in their lives. Norvin is survived by his wife of 52 years, Charlotte; children, David Isaac of Salem, Debbie Daugherty and husband Tim of Florence, Randy Isaac and wife Ranae of Keizer, David Dan Isaac and wife Michelle of Dallas; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; brother, Roland Isaac, and sister, Gloria Harms, both of Keizer. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Del Isaac. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday April 21 at Salem First Baptist Church Gymnasium, 395 Marion St. NE.
