Patsy Shaaron Solterbeck

MT. ANGEL -In honor and memory of a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend.

Patsy Shaaron Solterbeck born to Alis and Clark Ruse in Nampa, Idaho on September 15, 1935 went to be with the Lord on December 9, 2011 in Mt. Angel. Oregon.

Pat grew up in Idaho, graduated from St. Alphonsus School of Nursing and became a Registered Nurse in 1956. She married the love of her life, Jack, in 1958 and celebrated 53 years of marriage. They have resided in Idaho, Washington, South Dakota, Montana and Oregon. Pat and Jack raised their children in Keizer, Oregon and retired at Salemtown.

Her nursing career positions included an ER Nurse, IV Therapist, Industrial Nurse and Director of Nursing Services at Salem area nursing facilities. She retired after 17 years as a Psychiatric Nurse from the Oregon State Hospital.

Jack and Pat have enjoyed many years of boating, camping, fishing, singing and playing cards with her family and friends. Pat enjoyed entertaining, reading and painting.

Pat is survived by her husband, Jack Solterbeck of Salem; sons, Steven (Debbie) of Aldie, Virginia and Tim of Salem, Oregon; Daughters, Shaaron (Ron) Bowerly of Salem, Oregon and Alisa (Troy) Gilbertson of Keizer, Oregon; brothers, Michael and Richard Ruse of Grand Junction, Colorado, and sister, Genie Reviea of Salem, Oregon. Pat has 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

A celebration of her life will be on Saturday, December 17th from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Salemtown Farm House, 2900 Oakcrest Drive, NW, Salem, OR 97304. Private interment will be in the American Legion Circle at City View Cemetery. Arrangements are by City View Funeral Home.
