Vernadine Sturzinger Obituary

SALEM - Vernie was born December 6, 1931 in Scottsbluff, Neb., to Vern and Gertrude Mills. In 1952 she married Ernest W. Sturzinger in California where she was in an R.N. program. Moving to Oregon in the early 1950s with her family, she eventually completed her B.S. degree from Linfield College. She worked as an R.N. for over 30 years at both the McMinnville and Salem hospitals respectively. Vernie was a passionate explorer of Oregon and the surrounding states. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Ernest W. Sturzinger of Salem and three children, Pam Medzegian and Ernie D. Sturzinger of Keizer and Paul Sturzinger of Salem. She also has five grandchildren, Ernie J., Eric, and Allie Sturzinger, and Matt and Joe Sturzinger. Her brother, Stan Mills, lives in Houston, Texas.
