Boyce Alton Fox

Boyce Alton Fox, 85, of Statesville, passed away peacefully Thursday, Dec. 24, 2020, at his home.

He was born Dec. 31, 1934, in Catawba County, the son of the late Ralph Charlotte Fox and Ester Houston Fox.

Boyce was employed with Comscope, Southern Screw and retired from Leeroy Frame Company, where he worked as a machine operator. He had a love of old cars, especially old Chryslers and participated in car shows. Boyce was a member of Beulah Baptist Church and loved the Lord. Most of all, he was devoted and dedicated to his family, cherishing his time spent with them. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 66 years, Helen Chandler Fox; sons, Alton Ray Fox (Lucille) and Lynn Franklin Fox; daughters, Gail Poole (Clay), Lisa Dawn Fox Hoover (Charles) and Melanie Grant; grandchildren, Amanda Beaver (Wesley), Stephanie Bumgarner (Bryan), Ashley Montoya (Jessy), Emily Fox, Lee Hoover, Heather Johnson (David), Dustin Austin (Jasmine) and Jeremy Grant; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Dennis Fox; sisters, Shelby Benfield and Charlotte McCoy (Larry); and numerous other family and friends.

A graveside service will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 28, at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery in Statesville, with Pastor Bill Mason Officiating.
