Jack Ostwalt Obituary
June 8, 1923 - January 21, 2024
Jack was born to Claude Ogilvia Ostwalt and Ezzie Mozelle Morrow Ostwalt on June 8, 1923. He was born in the house his parents moved into upon marriage. He passed away, at age 100, on January 21, 2024 in Louisville, KY. Jack was preceded in death by his wife of 76 years, Margaret Smith Ostwalt, on December 2, 2022 and son, Douglas Keith Ostwalt, on July 23, 2011. Jack was a WWII veteran of the Army Air Corps and retired U.S. Postal Inspector.
Visitation and service will be held at Ratterman and Brothers Funeral Home in Louisville, KY on January 28, 2024. Donations to Jack's memory may be made to Kentucky Colonels or WHAS Crusade for Children.

Extending sympathy to Mr. Ostwalt´s family. I did not know him but heard my mom, Ruby Waugh Shoemaker, speak of him often. She passed away March 14, 2021 and is buried at Bethlehem Church. She told me before passing that she and Jack Ostwalt were the last two in her graduating class still living as far as she knew. They graduated in 1940 from Celeste Henkel High School. I live near Celeste Henkel School.
