Susan Baker

Susan Leona Dishmon Lambert Baker, 77, died Friday, Sept. 28, 2007. Born on March 5, 1930, in Iredell County, she was a daughter of the late Carter and Elizabeth Wilcox Dishmon. Mrs. Baker was twice married, first to Charlie W. Lambert, who died July 12, 1967, and next to John Hugh Baker, who died April 13, 1989. Also preceding her in death were brothers, Monroe, Arthur, David, Willie and Roy Dishmon; and sisters, Mittie Bustle and Fair Lou Penny. Left to cherish her memories are several nieces and nephews. Graveside services celebrating Mrs. Baker's life will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at Oakwood Cemetery, with the Rev. J. C. Parks officiating.
