Charles Everett Weaver was born on July 13th, 1931 in Passaic, New Jersey. He was born of his mother, Irma Vigh and his father, Dayton Everett Weaver. Though he was an only child, he often played with his Aunt Eleanor.
He served as a sergeant in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War from 1951-1954. After his service to his country, he worked in both automobile mechanics and as an operative engineer.
During this time, he met the love of his life Lillian Weaver. They got married in 1969 and were happily married for almost 50 years. Though they had no children together, they raised his daughter Wendy and Lillian's daughter, Sharon. Charles had two children from his previous marriage: Thomas and Wendy Weaver. Unfortunately, his son Thomas died at the age of 5 from a hole in his heart. His daughter Wendy also died years later at the age of 49 from breast cancer. After the loss of his daughter Wendy, he and his wife Lillian decided to adopt and raise her children and their grandchildren, Nicole and Thomas.
In his free time, he enjoyed traveling in his RV with his wife and cats, as well as gardening, NASCAR, and socializing with his neighbors and friends.
Charles Weaver passed at the age of 88 on August 2nd, 2019. He is survived by his wife Lillian, his stepdaughter Sharon and her children, Taylor and Luke, and his adopted children, Nicole and Thomas.
His memorial service will be at St. Johns Family Funeral Home in St. Augustine on Saturday, August 17th at 10am. In lieu of flowers and gifts, the family asks that you make a donation in his honor to K9s for Warriors.
