David L. Tompkins, 75, of Sturgis, Mich., and former longtime resident of St. Augustine and Lake City, passed away Oct. 23, 2010, at the Sturgis Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy; daughter, Tracy (Don) Belyeu, East Jefferson, N.C.; son, Craig Tompkins, Gainesville; grandchildren, David (Marie) Belyeu, Gainesville, Sarah (Steve) Moeller, Colgate, Ga., and Nathan Belyeu, N.C.; and brothers, Danny (Shirley) Tompkins and Mark Tompkins, both of St. Augustine.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Glenna Tompkins; and one sister.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, 2010, at Kingdom Hall Jehovah"s Witnesses, 66948 S. Nottawa Road, Sturgis.
