Gerald Thomas Obituary
Gerald Lee "Gerry" Thomas, 84, of Greenville, S.C., died Dec. 4, 2012, at Flagler Hospital. He was born in Lexington, Ky., son of the late Lotteef and Irene Thomas. Gerry retired from IBM in Boulder, Colo. He was an avid golfer. Gerry was a member of St. Giles Presbyterian Church in Greenville. God blessed us with Gerry and he was so loved! He will be deeply missed by many relatives and friends.
He is survived by wife of 54 years, Phyllis Massey Thomas, Greenville; two daughters, Karen Irene Thomas, Greenville, Jennifer Leigh Thomas, St. Augustine; and one grandson, Brian Walter Lamping, Lakewood, Colo.
He was preceded in death by his son, Philip Layton Thomas, brother, Robert Eugene Thomas, and grandson, Clark Thomas Lamping.
A memorial service will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 10, 2012 at St. Johns Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Dick Parker, officiating.
A graveside service and interment will follow at 1:00 on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012 in Pleasureville, Ky.
St. Johns Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements

It is hard to imagine life without Gerry, he was always there to listen and give advice, his love was unconditional and I am blessed to have had him in my life for 65 years.
