He was a kind person always had a smile I will miss you my friend.

February 20, 2013

I met Grant for the first time at the cobblestone Publix. He was always so nice and helpfull and once he met you he always seem to remember you again and took the time to say hello.when he transferd he was missed..I met him again at the new location one day and we were talking. He told me he was excited because he and his father were going to the Gator game. About a week later I saw him again and asked if he had a good time and he pulled out his cell phone and showed me the pictures. I will miss his smiling face.God Bless his family. may peace rule in your hearts. Now he is with God.

October 24, 2012

Although, we only knew Grant from the Publix store in St.Augustine, we considered him our friend and he was to all. He never missed saying hello to me and my friend when we came in to buy items or ask us about our animals. He always had a smile on his face and was willing to go the extra mile, he loaned me his umbrella about a month ago when it was raining one day although I said I did not need it he insisted, and said 'give it back whenever you come back in to the store' I kept forgetting! The last time I saw him he just laughed and said keep it ,,,,it was broken anyway". I am so very sorry for your loss and know that Grant is in our prayers and so are you his parents and family. He was a very nice gentleman who will be missed very much!

Sincerely, Jimmy and Marc

Grant was one of the sweetest people I know. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. I worked with Grant for years at Publix. I am so glad that I had the opportunity to work with him and get to know him. He has touched all of our lives and will be truly missed. We will miss his sweet smile. When he got promoted and left the beach store, when he would come in to pick up a few things, he would always take the time to come say hello and talk. Allen and Melody I know you are very proud of Grant, the nice young man he was. He was loved by so many. He will always be in our hearts. Our hearts are all so saddened. Our prayers are with you Allen and Melody. They are also with Lindsay.

When I moved down from Tennessee, Grant was the first kid to come up and introduce himself to me at Carlton Palmore in third grade. He made me feel welcome and "looked" out for me, even with my "hillbilly" accent, as he referred to it. He always had a big heart and smile, and I will never forget that. I am very thankful for the time that God blessed us with Grant. My thoughts and prayers are with the Ness family. The memories of Grant and Robert will never be forgotten.

Melody and Al, we were so saddened to hear about Grant's tragic accident last Monday. I wanted to share with you a special memory we have of Grant. It was a few years ago and out of the blue, the phone rang, and it was Grant. He was in town visiting friends and just wanted to say hello, ask about Heath and Lauren and of course ask Hal about how the Dreadnaughts were doing. We had a great conversation and I will always be grateful that Grant took time out of his day to call and say hello. Your family has a special place in our memories and our hearts. We will treasure those memories. With love and friendship, Hal, Linda, Heath, Shanna, Lauren and Sawyer

Condolences go out to the Ness family. They have lost such a nice young man that had just started living his adult life.I'll always remember that warm smile that he shared with everyone that came through the Publix door. And always willing to help a customer with what the problem may be.I know that Publix employees will find a deep void in their day not seeing him at work each day. Although we all will miss him so much, God had different idea. So as of today, heaven has just received another beautiful "man" angel..RIP GRANT!
