Dennis Wayne Moyer, Jr. July 14, 1971 - September 18, 2021 Dennis Jr, 50 years old, left his earthly tabernacle at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness, Florida. We. Dennis Sr., and Linda Moyer, were with him speaking words of love and life into his ear via cellphone as he departed to his new home. A Victorious Celebration and Memorial Service for Dennis Jr will be held on October 17, 2021 at 2 pm at Reeves Grove Historic Landmark, 8830 U.S. Highway 11; Steele, AL 35987, one mile south of U.S. Highway 231 and U.S. Highway 11 intersection (Whitney Junction). Dennis Wayne Moyer, Jr., is survived by Lieutenant Commander and Mrs. Dennis Wayne Moyer, Sr.; daughter Abigail; son Asheron Moyer, Clarksburg, Maryland; brother Edward Moyer, Winnipeg, Canada; sister Jasmine Pelkey, Cheyenne, Wyoming; biological mother Elizabeth Massenburg, Pensacola, Florida; and extended family - a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. Dennis Jr was born in Key West, Florida into a military family which enabled him to travel extensively in his youth. At the age of 15, Dennis Jr attended San Diego State University and aced a college level computer course. This introduced him to a tech world that remained his primary passion throughout his life. His Dad relates the story of Dennis Jr, as a young boy, disassembling his Apple IIe computer. Dennis Jr's response to his Dad's anger, "I wanted to see how it worked". After a time in the military, he self-taught himself in computer technology. His resume consists of working for Hewitt Packard, IBM, Dell and at the time of his death was self-employed. The past years, due to the death of his wife, Lynn and mother of their daughter, Dennis Jr devoted his time to raising his precious daughter Abigail Grace Moyer. Dennis Jr's greatest legacy is his children, Asheron his son, age 19 and Abigail, nine years old. Thanksgiving and blessings extended to the following: The CCU and ICU Staff of Citrus Memorial Hospital, with special gratitude to Brittany, Christine and Chester, Dr. Abraham and the entire team of Critical Care; a special tribute to Dr. Michael Wilson, MC, FCCP, FAAP, Director of Critical Care Services at Mobile Infirmary, who ministered far beyond the normal call of duty. Love never fails. The Timothy Stetson family who extended their love and care for Abigail during this transition time. Everyone associated with Reeves Grove Historic Landmark; To each friend and loved one who has given their time and love toward Dennis Jr's Memorial Service, the names are numerous and God bless. Lastly, Intercessors across America, your prayers were not in vain, a mighty harvest will be reaped from your petitions on behalf of Dennis Wayne Moyer, Jr. Our Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ has won the victory. This fund was established by Dr. Michael Wilson, ex-U.S. Navy Commander and a Florida Gator alumni for Abigail G. Moyer's future educational care needs and college fund.
