Thomas R. "Rick" Sellers, 73, of Vestavia Alabama went to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, August 27, 2021. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jackson and Mary Sellers; grandparents, Rob and Lillie Peoples and George and Fannie Sellers; brothers, Jim Sellers and Gary Sellers of Alabama; sister, Sandy Smith of Alabama; daughter, Angelia Sellers of Florida. He is survived by his son, Rickey Sellers of Florida; daughters, Stacey Chism of Alabama, Mary Beth Sellers-Altman and Kathy Lynn Sellers of Tennessee; sisters, Betty Brown, Carolyn Putman, Peggy Ingram, JoAnn Batizy, and Pam Williams, all of Alabama; Grandchildren, Nolyn, Tanner, Jake of Tennessee, Ryan of Alabama, and Brianna of Florida. Nephews and Nieces; Kim, Jackie, Jason, Jennifer, Jimbo, Brad, Alicia, Brandy, and Nick; great nephews and nieces, Paige, Amelia, Ella Mae, Jason, Ella, Harper, Maury, Elizabeth, Hunter, Kaiya, Caden, Cody, and Riley. He is survived by his girlfriend Wanda Self. Preceded in death by her daughter Shannon, Survived by her children; Kristy and Richard. Her grandchildren; Crimson, Lilllie, Daisy, Orian, Heavenly, and her great grandchild Canyon. Rick was Master Plumber and a Gas Fitter. He was a successful business owner of Dixie Plumbing Inc. for over 30 years. He loved to fish and anything to do with nature and outdoors. He was a very skilled builder of carpentry and woodwork such as decks and framing. He could block foundations. He liked working on his own vehicles and helping others with theirs. He loved watching his girls play softball, and watching NASCAR. He was an avid Alabama football fan. Rick was our family advocate. He always made sure our family was represented in times of crisis or need by our relatives and friends. He loved helping others. He loved watching children grow and he loved being involved in their lives. He loved sharing his talents with anyone. He was a God-fearing man and loved his Lord and Savior. He always dreamed of buying a sailboat and sailing around the world because he loved boating so much. Our family will miss him greatly, he is the "rock" to our foundation. He was a wonderful son, dad, brother, uncle, Paw Paw, and friend. Our lives will forever be changed without him. We all love you Rick, you will forever be in our hearts. Please protect and keep him Lord, until we are united again in heaven. Funeral services were held at Deerfoot Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville, Alabama Thursday, September 2, 2021 Chapel service from 1:00-3:00. Burial followed at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Margaret, Alabama.
