Albert Firkus Obituary
Albert Firkus age 85, of Stevens Point passed away Friday evening May 5, 2017 at North Haven Assisted Living where he had resided the past month. He had been living at the Hi-Rise for the past 20 years.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Albert will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday May 10, 2017 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Friends and family will gather to share memories from 10:00 - 10:45 AM on Wednesday at the church. Shuda Funeral Service is assisting the family.
Albert was born January 16, 1932 in Stevens Point, the son of Felix and Pauline (Garski) Firkus. He attended schools in the Town of Hull. Albert worked at UWSP before finishing his career at the Lullabye Company. He married Beverly Koback in 1960, the couple later divorced. Albert enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and helping others.
Albert is survived by his two daughters: Laurie and Roxann; his brother Leonard (Arlene) Firkus, Stevens Point; his sister Isabel Dulak, Milwaukee. Many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 8 brothers and 6 sisters.

Albert was a very nice person to know. My sincere condolences. I would usually meet Albert at McDonald's Restaurant on Business U.S. 51 in Stevens Point, WI. Or at other community venues. It was always nice talking and learning about the history of the Portage County area. May God (Boze) rest Albert's soul. I will remember Albert in my prayers.
