Czerwinski, Alice A.
Alice A. Czerwinski of Stevens Point passed away on Sunday morning, June 14, 2015 at the age of 79 as she wished in the comfort of her home and family. She courageously fought Pancreas Cancer since her diagnosis in August of 2014.
Alice was born November 23, 1935 in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of the late Bernard and Laura (Karpinski) Wanta. She attended St Peter Catholic School and graduated from high school in 1953 PJ Jacobs High school.
Her marriage to Albert Czerwinski took place at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Polonia, on July 12, 1956 and were married for 35 years prior to his death. After their marriage the couple settled in Stevens Point to raise their family because of what the community had to offer.
Alice worked at Point Main Street Café early in her career. In her later years, she shared her time with others working for Home Health Care assisting those in need and volunteered at the High Rise Senior Center daily. She enjoyed the outdoors and loved watching the wilderness whether she was walking across town or sitting in her favorite chair at her daughters house bird watching. Her passion was listening to polka music, drinking green tea and her grandchildren. Her most precious time was time spent with family and friends, and for those who knew her she will be missed by many. Alice was a simple minded person but understood the meaning of the living words by her faith and love for God.
She was 70+ years a member of the St Peters Catholic Church and member of the Rosary Society. Her faith and love from her family carried her through her illness. She attended Mass until she was unable to do so and attended her last on Easter mass with her grandson Trevor, whom she shared a special relationship. Her family will have truly lost a humble member, but we rejoice in her new birth and release her to her next great adventure with the Lord.
Alice is survived by her children, daughters Teri (Jerry) Koziczkowski of Stevens Point; Sister Susan Czerwinski of Dallas Texas, Doctor Anne (Cliff) Czerwinski-Manlove of Pittsburg, PA. Son, Patrick (Karen) Czerwinski of Stevens Point. Grandchildren, Tyler and Trevor Koziczkowski and David and Geralyn Czerwinski. Her beloved sister Louise (Bill) Tessmer of Junction City, WI. Lastly, her guardian angel and care giver Heidi Neiwiadomski, who was a special friend and gave her comfort in her last hours, we are forever grateful.
In addition, to her parents and husband Albert, Alice was proceeded in death by her brother Ronald.

www.pisarskifuneralhome.com Alice family would like to express their thanks and gratitude to the staff of ministry health care partners and her personal care giver Heidi Neiwiadomski for providing wonderful care to their mother; and to her family and friends at Cheryll's West Fifth Avenue for your friendship and support during her cancer treatments. This was an important network for friendship and love. Her son in law Jerry Koziczkowski treated like a mother, opened his home to her and made her a part of his family. She trusted and depended on him and in her last moments he was another angel the Lord sent to her and she appreciated him very much.
In my mother's last days, she enjoyed sitting in the sun and the calm breeze at our family home, as she was transitioning from this world to the spiritual realm I couldn't help but think she was dreaming of her new home to soon come, "I could see the white house gleaming welcoming me though the fresh spring growth, I could feel the quiet hush of the country twilight coming down over me like a benediction and hear the coyotes, tree frogs and night critters as the sun began to set. The warmth on my face, had helped me see the raw color of life on earth and the dark beauty of the oaks and pines so close I could tough them and I knew I was going home". In her last days, she asked to be with her husband and she was released from her pain and in the arms of those she mourned to be with. God thank you for showing her the light. The comfort and sweetness of peace.
