Przybylski, Jerome "Jerry"

Jerry died peacefully on July 27, 2015, at Maple Ridge Memory Care assisted living where he had been living for the past 5 years. He was born February 20, 1928, to John and Mary Przybylski in the town of Dancy. His 3 sisters and 9 brothers preceded him in death as did his parents.

Jerry married Gertrude Kubowski on November 15, 1947. He worked at many jobs, sometimes 3 at a time, to provide for his wife and their children. Primarily he was a truck driver. After retirement, he drove for the Commission on Aging shuttle bus.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, picking wild berries and helping family, church or anyone in need. He was passionate about recycling everything. He also donated over 13 gallons of blood at the local blood mobile.

He is survived by his children, Wayne (Carol) Przybylski of Custer; Lawrence Przybylski of Stevens Point; Irene (Jim) Lewis of Mosinee; Dorothy (Mark) Steuerwald of Waupaca; Valerie (Ken Passon) Przybylski and Marian (Roy) Contreras of Stevens Point. He is further survived by his grandchildren, Aaron Steuerwald Ketchikan, AK; Luke (Michelle) Przybylski of Plover; David (Amanda) Lewis of Stevens Point; Noah (Julie) Przybylski of Madison; Jonelle Przybylski of Plover; Nate (Emily) Steuerwald of Minneapolis; Martina (Tyler) Hoffman of Granton; Gabriel Contreras and Cole Passon of Stevens Point;and 13 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by sisters-in-law, Alice Przybylski, Christine Kubowski and Susie Kubowski all of Stevens Point; and brother-in-law, Herman (Marie) Kubowski of Racine; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents and siblings Jerry was also preceded in death by his wife, Gertie on December 12, 2014, his son, Danny who died due to car/bike accident in 1964, his granddaughter, Laura Lewis Geisendorfer and granddaughter-in-law, Amanda "Mandy" Lewis who both died suddenly in the fall of 2014.

There will be a Celebration of Life service at the Stevens Point Church of Christ located at 1112 Sandy Lane on Thursday, August 6, at 4 p.m. with memorial service at 5 p.m. A meal will follow.

A special thanks go out Maple Ridge Memory Care staff for the care and compassion for Jerry and his family. Thank you also to Heartland Hospice who was there during his final days.
