Keith Iris Obituary
Keith F. Iris, age 78, passed away October 21, 2017 at St. Michael's Hospital in Stevens Point.
A memorial service for Keith will be on Thursday October 26, 2017 at 12:00pm at the Shuda Funeral Chapel - Stevens Point. Friends and family will gather to share memories from 10-11:45am on Thursday at the funeral chapel.
Keith was born in Antigo, WI the son of James E. and Margaret V. (nee Kelly) Iris on August 25, 1939, attended local Antigo schools, and graduated from Antigo High School in 1957. Keith moved to the Stevens Point area in 1961 and was initially employed in the potato industry with Robert Sweet Company. He later was employed mainly in transportation with Russet Potato Exchange for 31 years, retiring in 2006.
Keith married Judith Seymour in 1962 and they had two children: Keith F. Jr. and Kathleen (Kelly). They later divorced. He was then married to Barbara (White) Cornwell from 1982 until the present.
His favorite times and memories in life were his grandchildren, family fishing trip to Canada, Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers, and Milwaukee Brewers games, classic cars, playing cards, doing crossword puzzles, and board games with family, his special dogs and cats, attending concerts, and traveling (with occasional visits to casinos.)
Survivors include his wife Barbara, son Keith Jr. (Sunshine) Iris, and grandchildren Jordan and Abigail; daughter Kathleen Kelly Iris; step-daughter Jodi Cornwell (Steve) Goldberg and grandson Max; step-son Bryan (Christina) Cornwell and grandsons Noah and Benjamin; and many special nieces and nephews.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: James and Eugene, and three sisters: Virginia Iris, Margaret Gatton and Luella Durchrow
