Melissa Franck Obituary

Franck, Melissa

Melissa L. Franck, age 57, of Waupaca, WI, formerly of Amherst, WI, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 1, 2014. Melissa was born in Topeka, Kansas on February 1, 1957, the daughter of Robert and Mildred (Dominic) Bruss. Melissa was passionate about baking, fishing, gardening, horses and spending time with family. Her family and friends will remember her as being elbow deep in flour baking something in the kitchen. Everybody that knew her will always remember the carefree and humorous outlook on life, and she could always cheer you up with one bite of a monster cookie.

Melissa is survived by her husband: Kevin Franck, Waupaca; her daughter: Kyleen Bremer, Ocheyedan, IA; son: Garrett Shields, Granton; granddaughter: Elida Shields, Granton; brothers: Donald Bruss, Spokane, WA; Larry Bruss, Lake Oswego, OR; sisters: Diane Bruss, Houston, TX; Cheryl Bruss, Bellevue, NE. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Melissa was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 3:00 PM at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca, WI with Penny Veitenheimer, officiating. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 - 3:00 PM. A memorial has been established in memory of Melissa Franck.
