Ronald M. Yach

Rhinelander - Ronald M. Yach, age 69 of Rhinelander, passed away on Wed., Oct. 17, 2018, at his home. He was born on Nov. 29, 1948, in Appleton, WI to Jerome and Helen Yach. Ron grew up in Appleton and attended the UW-Stevens Point where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Forestry. Ron married Kathleen Dettman in 1970 and together they would raise their family of three sons in Stevens Point. Ron was employed by Sentry Insurance and retired in Computer Management with the company in 2004. Following retirement, Ron and Kathy moved to Rhinelander where they lived on the Wisconsin River. Ron was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He also enjoyed working on improvement projects at his home and was an accomplished handyman. Ron is survived by his wife, Kathy of Rhinelander; his mother, Helen Yach of Green Bay, WI; his three sons, Matt (Chrissy) Yach of Menomonie, WI, James (Shelain) Yach of Rhinelander, and Kris (Becky) Yach of Mosinee, WI; eight grandchildren, Natalie, Brandt, Jarett, Justist, Makenzie, Makayla, Mya, and Lola; two sisters, Carole (Tom) Guyette of Green Bay, WI and Julie Chenail of Florida; a brother, Steve (Leslie) Yach of Spokane, WA; as well as other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerome. Per Ron's request, there will be no formal funeral services. Carlson Funeral Home of Rhinelander (715-369-1414 / www.carlsonfh.com) is serving the family.
