Stevens Point - Tammy Jean Kucharzak
Went to her heavenly home the afternoon of Thursday, May 27, 2021 at the age of 51 after a long battle with cancer. She was at her home in Stevens Point with her loving family at her side, while under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice.
Tammy was born April 2, 1970 in Austin, TX. She was the daughter of Eloise (Meredith) Morgan and the late Fred Morgan. Tammy's marriage to Martin Kucharzak took place on December 9, 1988 in Miami, FL. The couple moved to Stevens Point in 1989.
Tammy worked in the hospitality and hotel industry, and ended her career as a Catering Manager for Hotel Meade in Wisconsin Rapids. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, flowers, birds especially hummingbirds, raising chickens, and the outdoors including hunting and fishing.
Tammy is survived by her husband Martin, her two sons; Brad (Danielle) Kucharzak of Amherst Junction, and Brandon (Emily) Kucharzak of Junction City, and two grandchildren Easton and Jameson. Further survived by her mother Eloise Morgan of Manor, TX, her sister Carrie Leshikar of Jarrell, TX, niece Jenna Leshikar and nephew Cody Leshikar.
She was preceded in death by her father Fred. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Spencer and Shayna of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice. Their dedication, compassion and endless kindness cannot go unrecognized.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at the Lakeside Bar in Stevens Point. Family and friends may visit from 12:00 Noon to 6:00 p.m. to share stories and reminisce with the family. Burial will be in the Linwood Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial in Tammy's name will be established, any memorial donations may be sent to Martin Kucharzak, 1179 West River Drive West, Stevens Point, WI 54481. Marty, my heart is broken reading this. Tammy was a very good friend that I cherished. I'm sorry for you ,Bradley and Brandon. She was a wonderful person that was taken waaaay too soon. I'm so sorry doesn't say enough.

Life is fleeting, brutal & unforgiving. Tragic. What I hold on to for survival are the moments in time where I have known true friendship and love. Tammy has a beautiful soul. Until I see you again my dearest friend. I love you with all of my heart, forever and always.

Martin and family, My sincere condolences to the loss of Tammy. A lot of great enjoyable memories especially when Martin and Tammy would camp out in their ice shanty on the Stevens Point Flowage of the Wisconsin River sometimes in -20 degree weather talk about brave souls, I was impressed being that Tammy grew up in Texas. I also enjoyed briefly corresponding with Martin and Tammy when i would see them with their friends Conrad and Regina Cyran at some of the various Church Picnics in Portage and Marathon Counties.
