1953 - 2022
Gregory Jack Stephenson, 69, passed away at home Sunday, June 12, 2022 after a battle with COPD. Greg was born at Parks Victory Hospital in Napa, CA to Jack L. and Suzanna (Alkazar) Stephenson.
Greg graduated from Napa High School in 1971. While there he met his high school sweetheart, Lois (Deal) Stephenson, they were married in 1976 and would have celebrated their 46-year anniversary this September.
Greg spent his career of 47 years as a Upholsterer in Napa. He was department lead for 35 years at Dexta Corp, a medical/dental chair manufacturing company. He also enjoyed running his own upholstery business from home. His nickname was Stitcher, and knew his trade well, from furniture to automotive, and marine.
Greg was a self-taught guitarist and played with several local bands at school assemblies and later at local taverns. He enjoyed playing other instruments also, and mixing his own CD's.
Greg was past President of NSGW, Yountville Parlor and enjoyed following in the footsteps of his father and father-in-law.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Marion Smith; and two brothers: Ronald Shouse and Michael Stephenson.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Lois Stephenson; are his sons: Justin Stephenson and wife, Brittany of Vacaville, Joshua Stephenson and his fiance, Amanda of Vacaville, and Shane Stephenson of Napa; four granddaughters: Madilyn Stephenson, Paisley Stephenson, Everleigh Stephenson, and Emberlyn Stephenson; one sister, Barbara Wolfe of Nevada; and many nieces; and nephews.
At Greg's request there will be no formal service.
