John Earl Millious
1947 - 2021
John Earl Millious, 74, of St. Helena, California died Monday, September 27, 2021.
John was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. After graduating from The Ohio State University with a B.A. in liberal arts, he moved to San Francisco.
He sold insurance as well as having an acting career. He was a resident of St. Helena, California for fifty years and a member of the St. Helena Catholic Church.
John was a wonderful, kind and loving son, brother, uncle and friend. He is survived by his sister Joan and brother-in-law Jim Croft of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, nephew Adam Croft and niece Mary Wiater. He has four grand nieces, Eden and Audrey Wiater, and Olive and Violet Croft, all of Michigan. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph M. Millious and Elizabeth P. Millious.
John enjoyed painting, singing, especially Barbershop, and gardening. He traveled extensively to Europe and Acapulco, Mexico. He was an avid long distance swimmer and a familiar figure at the Napa Valley Health Spa. He is well known by his friends in Mexico for his lengthy swims to "the rock" in Acapulco Bay.
John will be remembered for his outgoing personality, sense of humor and kindness to others. A private gathering will be held to celebrate John's life in St. Helena, California.

John and I grew up together and I count him as one of my dearest friends. He was funny, caring, generous and protective of me when we were children. I will miss him terribly.
