Couple memories of my wonderful Aunt Adele: When we visited with Bob and "Del", often Bob took the front and center with his rather lengthy but funny stories. Del would always take back stage, laughing at his jokes and enjoying his presentation. She would get him his dinner plate and serve him, and all the while Uncle Bob would brag about how she took such good care of him. She loved him so deeply.
After Uncle Bob passed, I got to know Del better and realized how sweet and funny (I mean laugh out loud funny) she could be. She so loved her daughter Susie and was never happier than when she spoke of her. She talked a great deal about her family--never failed to mention her siblings.
We weren't as close as we could have been, my regret, but I will miss Del just the same. I will always remember "Bob and Del" as together, and how loving, funny, and warm they were.

Although I never met Adele, her generous and loving spirit lives on in her wonder-full daughter, Susie. Adel was always so sweet when she was at our family gatherings. She was friends with my grandparents, and the mother of my sweet aunt. Her kind nature will be passed on through her family, and that is how we will remember her most.
