Alan Baker Obituary
July 23, 1942 - December 21, 2025
Alan Baker, 83, passed away peacefully after gracefully enduring Alzheimer's.
Dear Son of the late Barbara Baker Hais and Morris Baker; loving husband of Michelle Schiller-Baker; father of Carroll Lehnhoff-Bell (Jesse) and Maura Baker Jarboe (Matt); dear grandpa of Beyla and Raphael Jarboe; brother of the late Lary Baker (late Judy), dear uncle, cousin and friend.
Alan graduated from University City High School, Washington University Law School and practiced law for 55 years. He was a Vietnam veteran and purple heart recipient.
Funeral service Tuesday December 30, 10 a.m. at Berger Memorial Chapel, 9430 Olive Blvd. 63132. Visitation from 9:30 to 10 a.m. Service will be available by Livestream. Burial will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the North St. Louis tornado rebuild efforts at give.ccstl.org. Allocate donation to Rebuild Academy and in Notes section write: In memory of Alan J. Baker or mail to Catholic Charities, P.O. Box 952393, Saint Louis, MO 63195, on memo line write Rebuild Academy/Alan J. Baker.

Condolences to the Baker family. Alan will be fondly remembered by myself as an appearing attorney on my docket at the St. Louis County Courts back in 2009 when I began my career here. I enjoyed his conversations and his commitment to his profession through the years. Although he has not practiced for years here, I will always think of him fondly and the stories he told. I was always "doll" to him at the courts, and I never minded this term of endearment from a most wonderful gentleman such as he. Rest in peace Alan.
