So sorry to hear of your loss. Our neighbor and my co worker at DMAAC. Her sons were all friends with my brothers at St. Mary's and as neighbors. We all grew up together. A great very friendly lady.
My deepest sympathy,

Such a wacky, wonderful, fun lady. A real mover and shaker who lived life to the fullest. She reminded me of my dear departed Mom who was also widowed early. They don't make 'em like that anymore. We, as children of such women, can only be thankful for the lifelong gifts they have given us.

Remember her at St. Cecilia's up in the front on the left. Remember her walking the halls at DMA carrying map prints with a big smile and always a hello. Remember her at noon mass at St. Vincent's and the many long talks out on the steps discussing our retirements. Enjoyed St. Raymond's lunches with her and her niece (Carol) and other outings. Her strength, her love, her faith certainly left a strong impact not only with her family but to so many. She is home now and is receiving highest honors because she has lived her dash to the fullest. May God Bless her children as they celebrate her life and pass on the memories and her favorite prayer (Hail Mary).

I slept and dreamt that life was joy,
I awoke and saw that life was service.
I acted and BEHOLD, service was joy.
~Anne lived a life filled with joy because she was a woman of action, a woman of faith, a woman of service. God grant that each of us live a life as filled with joy as she did. Amen

Most deepest sympathies to your entire family on the passing of your incredible matriarch!! My mom and I were just talking about your mom recently while traveling to an out-of-town funeral. She was commenting on people still living in the old neighborhood; and, obviously, your mom was prominent in that conversation!! What a great pillar of strength she was for all you guys after your dad passed away so suddenly so many years ago.

We'll be at her memorial mass and following to give proper meaning to a great woman and dear friend to the Goeke's.

Love to all of you......Tim Goeke

Anne a woman, a mother, a grandmother, a great grandmother and a friend to many whom I have always admired. We met her through our daughter becoming a friend in their grade
school years especially Tom and continuing through all these years as parents themselves. How often I would meet her at church and we'd pick up on what was happening in our lives.

Her smile and laugh made anyone happy when it was shared and she made the best out of every
situation and could lift your spirits
immediately. Her spirit and her faith gave
her the strength to not only raise her
children for many years on her own after
losing her husband but also to be there for them and work outside the home until she retired. Her grandchildren continued her joy for the younger generation which surrounded her with their love in so many ways for so many years and they will never forget her. She never tired of having them around her or helping getting them back and forth when needed. She will be dearly missed but always remembered joyfully and with much admiration by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She's now with the love of her life and in the presence of Our Lord always.
God bless the wonderful family who were so
fortunate to have a strong, loving and kind mother who will be truly missed but lovingly remembered.
