Barbara Sue Framer

Framer, Barbara Sue March 28, 2015. Barbara passed away peacefully Saturday morning after a lifelong battle with debilitating illnesses. She will be dearly missed by her mother Rose (the late David) Framer, her sister Linda Sosna, her niece Tracey Durso, and her beloved Westie Mackenzie. Barbara's struggles began with polio at age 2. She experienced severe eye problems at age 5, and developed a painful gastrointestinal disease at age 30 that remained undiagnosed until recently. Despite these hardships, she earned a Ph.D. at Virginia Tech, had a rewarding career in higher education, maintained many long term friendships, and was devoted to her mother. Her valiant ability to soldier on despite her medical challenges is an inspiration to us all. Services: Graveside service Tuesday, March 31, 2:00 PM at Chesed Shel Emeth Cemetery, 650 White Road.
