Barbara Linkemer Obituary

Barbara (Bobbi) L. Linkemer, age 88, of Ballwin, MO, died on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at her residence. She was born February 2, 1937, in Queens, NY, the daughter of the late Frank and Janet Levay.

Bobbi is survived by two daughters: Terry Linkemer and Leslie (Allen) Nadeau; her sister, Judy (Gerson) Mosbacher and her niece, Debra Mosbacher; three grandchildren, Lucy (Michael O'Brien) Nadeau, Trevor Nadeau, and Evan Nadeau; and one great-grandchild, Simone O'Brien Nadeau.

She was preceded in death by her former husband, Rich, with whom she shared a lasting and respectful friendship. Bobbi is also survived by Merle, Rich's wife, and Merle's two children, Scott (Anita Kuehner) Linkemer and Shari (John) Crutchfield, as well as Merle's grandchildren Lauren (Michael) Coldiron and Josh (Emily Bongiorno) Crutchfield, who remained a kind and meaningful presence in her life over the years.

Bobbi lived a remarkable and deeply creative life. She was a writing coach, ghostwriter, editor, and the founder of her own business. Over the course of her fifty-year career, she wrote, edited, or published thirty-six books, including her most recent work titled, "How to Age With Grace." Her passion was helping others bring their stories to life-teaching aspiring authors how to write, refine, and publish their own books. Countless writers found confidence and direction with her guidance.

Bobbi was also an accomplished artist, and even at 88 years old, she continued to write and paint. She was a loving mother, devoted sister, proud aunt and loyal friend, known for her generosity, curiosity, and willingness to explore any topic with an open mind and an heart.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In Lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Missouri Botanical Gardens which was a very special place for Bobbi.
