Ben De Herrera Obituary

Ben V. De Herrera, 66, a resident of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest on Monday, July 05, 2010 at his residence. He was born November 02, 1943 to Juan De Herrera and Luisa Swazo in Bayard, NM. He was formally from California and had lived here for 12 years.

He is survived by one son, Arthur Rodriguez of California; one brother, Robert De Herrera (Sara) of Las Cruces; two sisters, Evelyn Rivera (Matias) of Silver City; Romaine Jimenez of Montebello, CA; two grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; special friend, Christina Sambrano of Silver City. He was preceded in death by his parents, his nieces, Anna Fuller, Ruth and Evelyn Rivera; his great nephew, Robert S. De Herrera.

A celebration of life service will be Friday, July 09, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. at Glad Tidings Church with Rev. Greg Burchfield officiating. The interment will follow at 11 a.m. at Fort Bayard National Cemetery with full military honors.

Pallbearers will be Hugo Nieto, Roy and Ryan Messer, Robert V. De Herrera, Robert S. De Herrera and Valdemar De Herrera. Honorary pallbearers will be the rest of his family.
