Bruce was born February 28, 1929, in Springfield, MA, the son of Homer and Hazel Moore. He remained a proud Yankee throughout his life. He grew up in the Great Depression and WWII, and his fierce determination and intelligence got him into college. He spent 13 winters in the Florida Keys, surrounded by boats, tackle, sea, sun, and friends. Bruce dedicated 24 years of volunteer service to the USO at Lambert Airport. He was a champion for military veterans and supported his wife's work in the American Gold Star Mothers Inc. His last years were tough. Through it all he was a fighter. Bruce is predeceased by his beloved son Captain Karl H Moore (1986). He is survived by his wife Susie, son Douglas, and adopted daughters Qiang (Ron) Dotzel and Michelle Ardrey. He was Grandpa to Michael and Myra Dotzel, and he was Opa to Elise and David Ardrey. Jim and I were honored to have met Bruce through our volunteering at the USO. He was such an interesting person, a man you knew was of old school: honest, loyal, trustworthy, patriotic. The world has lost a wonderful person. God Bless him and his family.
