With deep sadness we announce the passing of our father on September 12, 2025. Chuck was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to all whose lives he touched. He left us while sleeping peacefully at his residence in Ballwin, Missouri, with daughters Kathy and Joan close by his side.

He was the devoted husband of Joyce Parrott for 72 years, dear friend of Cindy Launhardt, beloved father of Kathy Gough (David) and Joan Parrott-Sheffer (Thom), grandfather of Adam (Chelsey), Brandon (Max) and Ryan (Casey) and great-grandfather of Nathan, Nicky, Riley, and Owen.

He was preceded in death by parents William James and Beatrice Edith Parrott, stepmother Elsa Leota Parrott and daughters Barbie Jo and Susan Joy.

Chuck grew up in a small town in Michigan. When WWII broke out, he joined the US Navy as an officer in training. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in chemical engineering. He spent his entire career with the Shell Chemical Company. He was active in the churches he attended.

Chuck leaves behind a legacy of kindness and quiet strength, reflected in the many ways he cared for his family and friends. His patience was a gift to those around him, and his determination inspired others to persevere through life's challenges. We will carry forward his love and his example, grateful for the time we shared and the lessons he taught. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love.

A celebration of Chuck's life will be held at Meramec Bluffs Chapel, 1 Meramec Bluffs Drive, Ballwin, MO 63021 on November 8 at 11:00 am, followed by a luncheon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 14088 Clayton Road, Town and Country, MO 63131.
