Christine Polette Obituary

Christine Lee Polette (née Maher) passed away on November 15, 2025 surrounded by family. Survived by her husband of 56 years Gary V. Polette, children Amy (Marc) Pedrucci, Mark (Alicea) Polette, and Meg (Matt) Erickson and grandchildren Katie, Carter, Haley, Nate and Grace. Preceded in death by her parents Helen Allison and Frank Maher and sister Adrienne Buckingham.

Chris was born in Chicago and grew up in Evanston, Illinois where she attended St. Mary's School and Marywood Academy. She earned her degree in Physical Therapy at St. Louis University and worked at Deaconess Hospital until it was time to start a family. When her children were older, she started a new career with Parkway School District in the Early Childhood Development Center. As retirement approached, she and Gary became involved in buying and selling antiques as a hobby. This hobby lasted for more than twenty years selling at many locations around the St. Louis area. Besides antiquing, Chris enjoyed gardening, traveling and spending time with her beloved family and friends.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, November 24, 2025 in the chapel at St. Anselm Parish at 11:00 a.m. with visitation at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul at St. Anselm Catholic Church (https://stanselmstl.org/st-vincent-de-paul) or to the Gallbladder Cancer Foundation (https://gallbladdercancer.org).
