I met Chris when we were in 7th grade. He was the kindest person I knew then and knew now. Always met you with a smile and had a great way of making you feel like the only one
there.
First person to call you when you were dealing with an illness, celebration or loss of a family member,or just to check in. Very few times in life do you meet such a warm, caring human being. We just lost our Dad in August and one of the first text was from Chris. He even checked in a month later to see how I was doing. My last conversation was the week before we all lost this beautiful soul, as he was looking for a new housekeeper, thought I would know one. I am so happy we got to catch up. So grateful for 55 years of friendship. Sending healing prayers to all who loved him.. Melinda Schmitt Hagedorn

Chris graduated from Chaminade on the 25th anniversary of my own graduation. I wish I'd accomplished the smallest fraction of what he's done in the years since.
