I was so sad to hear of Daniel's passing. It was such a joy to see him at church. He was interesting to talk with and he had a very mature faith. As a mother and a sister, I can only guess at the pain you are all experiencing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. May your memories sustain you at this time of greif.

Dan was in my confirmation class. He was one of the sweetest kids and he had the biggest heart. He was very smart and knew a lot about God and the bible, and that always made our classes really interesting.
We are all going to miss him. I am sorry for your loss.

We would like to express our sympathy to the Bartz Family. We were lucky to have known Dan. Lauren has always had such fun stories of her friendship with Dan. I especially remember the stories of the Detective Club the only members were Dan and Lauren. They were going to solve all the mysteries in school. Then there was the Wishbone book club(unofficial as it was). Then lets watch a scary movie(not me says Lauren - Dan wasn't far behind her )...
What a wonderful friend. Dan you will be missed.

Dan's positive attitude and friendly spirit was always present. I will never forget his big smile, especially after going through the cave with Mr. Reidenbach during 5th grade camp. He was always up for a new challenge. With deepest sympathy,

Dan the man, he was one of my closest friends since Kindgergarden, I thought I'd never see this day happen to him, the sweetest most thoughtfull guy around and it had to be him.
He's no longer in pain, but memories will be shared toward others, and people will remember the name Dan 'Dan the man' Bartz.
The kid that Changed ourselves and others, and didn't want any help, but to give help to those who need me.
