David Pauluhn Obituary
July 17, 1956 - August 3, 2025
David George Pauluhn of Wright City, MO was taken to his Heavenly home on Sunday, August 3, 2025 at the age of 69. The loving husband of Rita (Davidson) Pauluhn, cherished son of the late Cuthbert Pauluhn and Beverly Pauluhn, devoted father of Kelly (Thom) Hanratty and Andrew (Ashley) Pauluhn; grandfather of Alex Hanratty, Aidan Hanratty, Brynn Hanratty, and Liam Pauluhn, loving uncle to nine nieces and nephews and friend to many. David is survived by three brothers, Michael (Rachel S.) Pauluhn, Adam (Zhanna) Pauluhn, Matthew Pauluhn and two sisters, Rhoda (Michael) Bohlmann, and Rachel E. Pauluhn.
David graduated from Hazelwood High School (c/o 1974), earned an Associates Degree from Columbia College, and graduated from the FBI National Academy 251st class (Quantico, VA). He worked at Chromalloy Building Products in Hazelwood, MO. His love of country and community led him to serve, for 27 years, as a devoted officer, detective, DARE officer, and Captain of the Overland Police Department.
In respect to his abiding faith, memorial contributions may be directed to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Overland, MO or Lutheran High School North, St. Louis, MO.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 9135 Shelley Avenue, Overland, MO 63114. A luncheon for all family and friends will follow the service.

I got to know Dave when he was with OPD. I was working for CFPD. As a firefighter/paramedic I responded to many calls where Dave was the police officer. He was dedicated, caring and respectful to all he came in contact with. RIP, LOB Brother.

I am deeply saddened by his passing. He was one of the people in my life whom I dearly looked up to as an officer, a leader, and a helper of people, and as a man. I am grateful for having known this man and the memories of his mother and how she was when I first arrived here. I have no other words, but my heart is deeply saddened by this.
