September 27, 1947 - August 25, 2025

David Gerard Shocklee (Dave) passed away in Richmond Heights, MO on August 25, 2025 at the age of 77. Dave is survived by his brother Mark Shocklee, sister-in-law Rebecca Shocklee, nephew Bennett Shocklee, niece Lauren Preston and great niece Milena Rose Preston. He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Willis Gerard and Hazel Shocklee and brother Michael Shocklee.

Dave was born on September 27, 1947 in St Louis, MO. He graduated from McBride High School. He was a dedicated employee of the St Louis University library for many years. He was a caring son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and great friend to many. Dave was a skilled artist, working endlessly on pencil drawings and dabbling in oils. He was a movie buff, had a passion for music, and loved animals. Dave was an avid Cardinals fan, always tuning in to a game.

An intimate celebration of life gathering will be held for immediate family. In lieu of flowers, please donate a favorite book to a charity of your choice.
