Don Roloff Obituary

Roloff, Don V. October 17, 1927 February 6, 2012. On Monday Mr. Don V. Roloff passed away peacefully while comforted by his family at the Bethesda Manor facility. Mr. Roloff was raised in Kirkwood MO where he graduated from Kirkwood High School. After earning the rank of Eagle in the Boy Scouts of America Mr. Roloff attended the Missouri School of Mines at Rolla where he graduated with a degree in Metallurgical Ceramic Engineering. Mr. Roloff was a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity, the Court of Saint Patrick and was a volunteer Rolla Fire Fighter. Mr. Roloff served his country as a Seaman First Class in the United States Navy aboard the LST USS 592 which sailed in the Pacific Theatre. Mr. Roloff met his wife Florence (nee )Anderson of Nashville TN, and began his career as a foundry supervisor with U.S. Steel. Mr. Roloff was a President of a Lions Club chapter in Ogden Dunes IN. Mr. Roloff was most recently the Executive President of International Carbon and Minerals, Inc. located in Clayton MO. During this period Mr. Roloff and his wife raised 3 boys in the Clayton school district. After retirement Mr. Roloff enjoyed helping seniors in Missouri as a President and Silver Haired Legislator with the Mid-East Area Agency on Aging. Mr. Roloff is survived by his Wife Florence (nee) Anderson, loving sister Mrs. Bettye Lissant (nee) Roloff of Terre Du Lac MO, Son Vernon (Rusty), Wife Lisa, Grand children Dean, Chase and Shelby of Los Angeles CA, Son David, Wife Laura, Grand children Berkley and Audrey of Columbia MO, and Son Clayton, Wife Susan, Grand children Nicholas and Jackson of Union MO. Memorials may be donated to any organization that conducts research into Alzheimer's disease.
