Don Bevirt

To the family of Dr, Don Joseph,
My name is Donald Andrew Bevirt, my father Don Bevirt was Dr. Joseph’s roommate at U of I. in the year before WWII and a fellow scout in troop 35, as was I. My father always spoke fondly of his trip to Nova Scotia that he and Don participated in during their scouting years.
I was saddened to hear of his passing when my aunt Joan Blank (Bevirt) called. She expressed a profound sadness at Don’s passing and since she is now living in the New Bern N.C. she asked me to forward her respects.
After reading the obit. In the paper I can see that Dr. Joseph was a very special man. It is a good man that remembers where he came from and what makes life worthwhile. I am certain that he will be missed by his family and friends but remembered for his deeds and actions as well.
Please accept my sympathies on behalf of myself and of course my aunt Joan.

I spoke to Dr. Joseph a few times over the years mostly by phone from the Department of Otolaryngology at Univ. of MO in Columbia. He was a very nice man.I have worked in the Department for 20 years/Adm. Assistant and came after he left. May your memories comfort you.
